WE DID IT -- 2052! Together we broke the Guiness World Record for largest guitar ensemble on July 1, 2008. Way to go CONCORD!

KPIX CBS-5 News was on hand to cover the attempt and capture video footage of the record-breaking event.

Thank you to all the community participants who made this a reality! 

Thank you City of Concord events staffing crew, especially Ed and Rob -- you performed far above expectations, as usual. 

I also want thank Tina Weston of Guinevere Mind Body Spirit for doing the registration documents and for her personal support.

Thank you Cara Butler of Sarah's Bare Necessities for all you continue to do to make events happen.  Also, thanks to Dirk Wentling of Wentling Studios for taking the best ever photos of our record event. Thanks to the Trolans for running between the tables to help me gather the numbers!  Special thanks to all who helped with the registration tables -- from our city staffers, to the families of our members, and the Concord Chamber.

Thank you Florence Weiss for making this a success -- and I thank Mayor Bill Shinn, and our Council members Guy Bjerke and Laura Hoffmeister, for playing along on stage and for being so supportive of the Downtown program.  Thanks also to Supervisor Bonilla for being there!
